Landed yesterday late in New York, jet lagged. Struggle with sleep, wake up at 6am, call the office, catch up on emails. Quick shower, ironing a crumpled shirt from the flight, dress up and run to my 7.30am breakfast meeting. Sweating already. Damn.
8.45am, running late, order an uber, get stuck in traffic, check the financial news and the market open on Bloomberg. Three meetings with investment management firms coming up, then run to the corner deli, gobble up a salad, order a flat white to go, head to my next 3 meetings.
Night sets in, barely saw any daylight. Networking drink, business dinner, have a few cocktails to try and unwind. 10pm finally back in my hotel room, going through the day’s email back log.
My head spins from the information overload. Tomorrow trying to wake up earlier and head to the gym before it all starts all over again.
Welcome to my ordinary life.
